Style & Inspiration
Meaning "summer" in Catalan, Estiu is the third of our seasonal amari, alongside Primavera and Tardor. It is a complex orange liqueur: bright peel up front, then a layered, gently bitter orange depth. We reach for it as a fresher alternative to Campari, and it is the Estiu in every Negroni we pour at the bar.
Tasting Notes
Nose
Fresh orange peel and zest, with a soft herbal edge.
Palate
Complex orange, sweeter and brighter than Campari but with the same bittersweet backbone. Layered rather than sharp.
Finish
Clean, lingering orange with a gentle bitterness that keeps it refreshing.
Serve Suggestion
Perfect in a Negroni, in place of Campari, with gin and vermouth in equal parts over ice. Or make a spritz: Estiu with soda and Prosecco over ice, with a slice of orange. A splash brings complex orange to almost any cocktail.
Distiller’s Note
Made in small batches in the shed on Duporth Avenue, on our own grape-based spirit. Like all our amari, Estiu is bottled at 500 mL. It is also the orange half of our bottled Negroni.
