Sunshine Coast News came down the laneway to the 25 square metre shed behind the law firm on Duporth Avenue, and called it “a high achiever”.
The story follows the whole arc — a 33-year career in law, a promise made at seventeen to get out young, and the storage shed out the back that became a licensed micro-distillery where the still, the production bench and the bar all share one room.
“I make the spirits, bottle them, put the labels on them and then stand behind the bar and pour them. It’s just me.”
It also covers the two silver medals for the Lemon Myrtle Gin, the leaf hand-picked at Buderim, and the Saturday workshops now running alongside the still.
Double silver at the Melbourne Royal
Our Lemon Myrtle Gin took two silver medals at the 2026 Melbourne Royal Australian International Spirits Awards, judged blind against the best in the country.
The lemon myrtle is hand-picked at Buderim, and the whole batch ran to about a hundred bottles. Small is the point.

The still, the production bench and the bar are all in the same little room in Maroochydore. Saturday workshops are kept small on purpose — handle the botanicals, watch the still run, taste what comes off it, and blend a gin of your own.
