We put our Lemon Myrtle Gin into its first national competition and it came home with two silver medals. One judged neat, one judged with tonic, both tasted blind by industry judges. Medals cannot be bought or influenced, which is exactly why they matter to us.

Winning two silver medals in our very first national competition is incredibly encouraging. It tells us we are on the right path.

At the Mouth of the Maroochy River —

Hidden off Duporth Avenue, down a lane behind Corbins, there is a twenty five square metre shed with a 120 litre pot still in it. That is the whole distillery.

We start with what grows here, botanicals from our own garden, from neighbours and from friends’ farms, and we work slowly until the spirit is worth putting a label on.

  • Pure heart cut. No shortcuts, and no recycling of heads and tails. Every bottle is the clean middle of the run.
  • Plants, not flavourings. Nothing artificial goes in. Where we can, we grow the botanicals ourselves.
  • A working distillery. Drop in and you will usually see the still running and fruit being peeled. If you are curious, just ask.

Saturday 2:00pm to 4:00pm the room is given over to the distillers workshop. Tables and walk-ins from 4:15pm.

Outside those hours you will often still find us in the shed. Knock, and if we are inside we will open up.

Our goal is to create local expressions of well-known spirits while also developing unique products that showcase our own style.
