The components of our spirits are in our care well before the still does its work. We like to grow as many of our botanical ingredients as we can. Some are even grown in the distillers own garden in Buderim.
This is a quick walk through part of the garden behind The Law Artisan Distillery — the plants and botanicals that find their way into our experiments and seasonal releases.
Not everything makes it into a bottle. Some ideas don’t work. Some become favourites and others are shelved and we will look at them later. But this is where many of the experiments begin; in the garden.
Distilling for us isn’t just about what happens in copper. Sometimes it starts with a plant, a season, or something that looked interesting enough to grow.
